Need audio book suggestions

Hi all

Have a long car trip coming up and would like some audio book suggestions. We have 2 kids 9 & 10 and we just finished listening to the all the Harry Potter books (for the second time!)

Any family friendly, interesting suggestions?

Diary of a Wimpy Kid.

You wouldn't think it would translate well to audio as the book has so many cartoon drawings in it, but it really is quite funny in the audio version.


I'd also maybe look for some Roald Dahl- James and the Giant Peach, Charlie and the Chocolate Factory.

I would say the Bible or a religious book of your faith.

Animal Farm by George Orwell and Watership Down by Richard Adams.

I had an English teacher when I was in high school that read both of these books to his children, and later had his children read them themselves. He said it was fascinating to see how his childrens' thinking evolved when they talked about what it meant to them, and how that changed as they grew older.
