I have checked the schedule for our trip in two weeks and have also read on here that during the EME at MGM there is a 2nd showing of Fantasmic. I see on the Disney calendar there is one scheduled for 1030PM on an EME night when the park closes to non resort guests at 10PM. I know from my past history with these extra night hours that other ppl are allowed to stay in the parks without wristbands to shop and to eat and spend money. I know they are supposed to check wristbands for attractions during these hours but I am wondering if they check wristbands for the shows. In particular for the second showing of Fantasmic.
I had wanted to take advantage of the second show thinking it might be less crowded but after thinking about this question I wondered how many others might try to see the show without a wristband or if they even need the wristband to see the show that night? If they don't need a wristband then they could do all the rides and then take advantage of the second show after the rides closes making the second viewing of Fantasmic maybe more crowded than the first.
I need to make this decision soon as it will affect when I make my dinner reservations....which looking at the calendar I should have done long before now!!! I hope I can still get the places I want.

When we went last year we went to the second show and not only did they not check, but also I don't see how rthey could have, there were so many people and it was more like a heard than a line...
