Need an Oct park reservation but AP's don't renew until July

Our AP's expire Sept 14th and I know I can renew up to 60 days in advance but October may be booked by then. I've searched the Boards and couldn't find a post similar to my situation. We have a resort reservation for Oct 18 & 19, 2021, which will be in prime Fall Break time as well as the beginning of the 50th celebration.

Does anybody have any experience getting renewals more than 60 days out?

I’m in the same boat. I believe if you call the AP number they can put something in the system that will allow you to make those reservations. I haven’t called them yet, it’s actually on my list of things to do next week

It's often on the front page but has fallen back a couple of pages this week. There is some chatter on this thread about early renewals - you would need to call for it.

Disney told me to purchase regular tickets to make the park reservations. Our APs expire two days into our October trip. We needed tickets for the balance of the trip. At Disney's instruction, I purchased PH tix for 7 days and Disney will then apply the price of those tickets toward the renewal when we are within the renewal period.

Others have indicated they were able to get early renewals by calling. When I made my inquiry, it was 11 months out from our October trip, so Disney may have adapted since then hence others getting early renewals. For me, it didn't matter either way--as long as I got our park reservations for October and the tickets I purchased will be applied toward the renewal--all is good.

*UPDATE*. Just off the phone with another CM via the AP VIPassholder # that says they can make exceptions in these circumstances. Hmmm... As often noted, it depends on who you talk to!

I was told on the AP VIP line no early renewal but to purchase regular tickets then I could apply those tickets to my renewal when the time was appropriate. Our APs are through July and we have resort reservations for Christmas/NYE.
