Need an man's Electric Razor for sensitive skin

DH has decided that he is going to shave his beard of 13 years since he will begin interviewing for new jobs. He has extremely sensitive skin which is why the beard has been so nice. When he used to shave, and even now on his neck, his skin gets bumpy and they next shave causes the bumps to sometimes bleed.

We're going out this weekend to find an electric razor that is good for sensitive skin. Anyone have any recommendations? He hasn't shaved the beard yet but I think tomorrow is the day. I am sure he'll look pretty mangled for a few days but I want to get the electric now. My kids won't even recognize dad.

My Italian husband has very dark hair, but his skin is very fair and sensitive. After years of trying different razors, he now has the Norelco Advantage (?), I think it's called. It has little packets of lotion that you insert into the razor to cut the friction. He really likes it a lot. I know they sell it at Target, and I think Walmart for about $90. They also sell a 4-pack of refill lotion packets for about $4.99.

Absolutely ditto what Jill said! DH has the Norelco Advantage - he could never use an electric razor because it destroyed his face. The Advantage works great. Unfortunately, though it's advertised as use-able in the shower - it's not waterproof. His first one died, and I recently gave him a new one for his birthday, about $90 from WalMart.

One key thing the salesman told DH - the bumps will be there the first couple of times you shave with the new razor. Just keep using it and he'll get used to it! DH wouldn't trade it for the world right now!

Thanks a bunch. I'll check it out. I searched on the net and found a lot about a Braun 7680 but it was $170. $90 sounds a lot better.

The first one DH bought (and ruined ) was $165 at, er, Boswells, I think. I found it much easier to pay $90 at WalMart!
