So dh and I have booked our disney trip from June 1st - June 8th. We have never been to disney before and we want to try and see as much as we can without overdoing it (don't want to over exhaust ourselves). We want to be prepared and have even a rough itinerary for each day. And ideas as to how I should make this? Oh and we are staying at Port Orleans Riverside.

The first thing you want to do is make a list of everything that is a "must see/do", after that, use the park hours and your dining to figure out where you should be each day.

I usually make a template and little pieces of paper for each of the parks or activities and our dining and then work it all out moving them around.

That is a start anyway!

I usually make a chart in Word and pencil in the days we have there and then add what I want to do each day. Then I am also able to pencil in meal reservation numbers and I have everything on one page.

Are you planning to visit all 4 Disney parks?

We usually have a quiet check-in day, and allocate one day per park. We try to spread out the park days so we aren't doing too many back-to-back days at the park (we have a 3 and 5 yr old - if you are 2 adults going, this won't be a big concern for you). We spend in between days at the pool, visiting Downtown Disney and shopping (I have lots of favorite U.S. stores that we HAVE to visit when we are in the U.S.).

It's important to map everything out early so that you can make your dining reservations. Once you know where you will be each day, go to allears.net and look at the dining options in each park and make your reservations early. Dining reservations are important! There is a good chance you will not get in anywhere if you don't reserve.

Let me know if you have any more questions - and have a fabulous trip!

I highly suggest you pick up the Unofficial Guide Book. It lists all the attractions/shows/rides and describes them. He even tells you what time of day is best to do them. You can make an interest list from reading his book. Then take a look at his touring plans he listed at the back of his book. If there are things you want to add to it or delete from it do so. Therein will be "your" touring plan.

Buy buying his latest book you can log on to his website and check out which days he thinks are the best bets for each park.

He also lists restaurants but for menus you need to check out allearsnet.com

I also belong to Tour Guide Mike and you belong to his site for less than the price of the book. He has alot of the same information and in my opinion both are good. But if you prefer the info in a book format that you can index in the back and flip to the page buy the book.
