Need an easy Appetizer

I guess this isn't as easy as other recipes, but it is as yummy as it is impressive!

Baked Brie
1. Cut a small 7"ish wheel of regular brie (no herbed or pepper) in half.
2. Spread stuff on the bottom of one brie half. You can use preserves or jam. I like a savory filling like Boursin cheese.
3. Put the top on.
4. Unroll one sheet of thawed puff pastry. You can find them in your frozen foods section. You don't need a rolling pin, just unwrap the pastry and open it up.
5. Wrap the brie in the puff pastry. Use water and your finger to seal edges.
6. Bake on a cookie sheet in a pre-heated 375 degree oven for 20 minutes.
7. Cool about 20 minutes before serving. This can be the time you're going to the party.
8. Serve with crackers.

I posted this on another thread, yesterday, but I've taken this appetizer to Christmas parties and it has *always* been a huge hit. It sounds kind of odd, but it tastes DELICIOUS and it's super easy to make.

*Note: You can easily halve this recipe if two "pizzas" is too much. I also use low fat mayo and lite cream cheese and it tastes just as good! (I doubt fat free would work as well, though.)

Cool Veggie Pizza

3 crescent roll pkgs.
2 (8 oz.) cream cheese (softened)
1 pkg. Hidden Valley Ranch French Onion or reg. dip/dressing mix
1/2 c. mayonnaise
chopped raw vegetables of your choice (I use broccoli, carrots, and mushrooms, but you could also use cucumbers, cauliflower, peppers, etc.)

--Spread the 3 crescent roll packages onto 2 cookie sheets (or pizza pan). Bake as directed and let cool.

--Mix 2 packages cream cheese, 1 package dry mix and the mayonnaise.

--After rolls have cooled, spread the dip on. Then place your chopped vegetables on top. Let sit in the refrigerator for about 1/2 hour. Cut into squares or slices. Serve cold.

From "Zits"

Take small pieces of Beef Jerky and place "Canned Cheese" on each. Then put them on a "Ritz" cracker.

Enjoy.

Another variation on the block of cream cheese:
Pour Salsa over it and serve w/tortilla chips.
Oh what you can do w/a block of cream cheese. :teeth:
BBQ sauce over cream cheese...spread on Triscuits. :)

This is hot but it is always GONE when I serve it,

Made in a crockpot,

Take a block of Velveeta Cheese and cube it, toss it into the crockpot,

Take a jar of Hot Tamales, take the wrappers off and toss them in the crockpot,

Take a large jar of chili (no beans) pour it on top.

Cook in the crockpot stirring and mixing it together as it heats.
I always just take the crockpot to wherever I'm going and do it there, it doesn't take 5 minutes. Once it's heated serve with fritos scoops!

Heart attack ready to happen but everyone loves them.

Bacon Wrapped Smokies:
.
I was going to suggest the same thing! Whenever I make these, they go FAST! They aren't the healthiest, you are right ;) Another idea is Buffalo Wing Dip. I will read on to see if anyone suggested that.
