Need affordable restuarant recommendations near Downtown Disney!

Hi everyone,

As a 2nd option, I am looking for affordable restaurant recommendations near Downtown Disney during christmas weekend.

We know the parks will be very crowded, and trying to getter dinner reservations are almost impossible, so we opting for offsite places to eat, that are either in walking distance or a short cab ride away.

Having dinner in the parks is not high on our list, and we can do without the long line, its just the two of us, and it would be nice to have dinner away from the crowds at the parks.

There are a number of restaurants in the Crossroads plaza that can be walked to from the DTD hotels...Red Lobster, Chevys, Perkins, TGI Fridays, Unos.

There are many others within a short cab ride, Macaroni Grill, Olive Grden, Giordanos, Joes Crab Shack, CiCis, Landrys, Bahama Breeze and others.

You are in a great location for restuarants being only a short distance away. It's one of the reasons we stay in this area too.

Vallarta Mexican Grill - just north of Hotel Plaza on 535...very good food and great prices. IMHO, beats the chains hands down. Worth the short cab ride.

Second Vallarta...just north next to Country Inn and a very good Giordono's Pizza which is also very good...these are reasonably priced.
