I just called (for the first time) the guide assigned to me and told him I had recieved an email about AKV incentatives, I didnt have the email with me at the time however I did know that the offer was good through the 20th. My guide told me the that the current incentative was $500 down. 96 per pt. and 160 develper points. I have now retrieved my email offer, and it seems better It is offering($8 per point credit) 1280 flexible spending credit to use toward downpayment, 500 gift card, 160 developer points for saratoga springs. Am I missing something? The email offer seems better to me. Why wouldnt the guide offer me that? Should I call him back? Will he be offended? Does the email offer seem better to you all?

What you received in your email is what we received via email as well and I believe what all members did set to expire on Sept. 20, 2008.

Why your guide told you something somewhat different I do not know

I would not hesitate to call your guide back regarding what is offered in the email - - the deadline has not passed and I am sure DVC will honor it.

I would call him back and nicely explain that you found your e-mail and that you are interested in that offer. If he is not helpful, you might want to check on getting a new guide? I am new, so I am not sure about whether or not that is "frowned upon" but our guide was awesome and I would be happy to give you his name and number. If you want you can PM me.

This is what we received as new members. Although the $500.00 gift card we got was for being referred.

There may be currently more than one active incentive.

Your "Guide" is a sales facilitator. His job is to process sales. He is not your friend.

Your job is to get the best deal possible. If you are questioning your assigned Guide. I would call DVD and have a Manager assign you a new Guide.

It really sounds like the difference is whether or not you have a referral. Definitely call the guide back and confirm if that's why the offer he discussed with you was different.

Sounds to be exactly like your e-mail but told to you w/ incentive offer applied-
$96- pp is an $8- credit pp (reg pp is $104-) also the DP of $500 is a minimum of 10% down w/ $1280 flexible spending toward DP & your $500 DP that is for 160 points - matching developer points for SSR, II or DL- and the $500 gift card is yes, for having a referral - w/o referral no $500 gift card- I have seen a few who have posted that by putting $500 DP on their Disney Visa they have received extra Disney points or something to that effect- You'd have to get that from someone who used a Disney Visa (thru Chase)

We purchased 200 points and received $1600 flexible credit to DP as well as put our $500 DP (not on Disney Visa) we received matching Developer points of 200 and w/ our referral we will also receive the $500 gift card- If you purchase 320 points you can get $1000 gift card (2 $500 cards)

Doesn't sound as though he gave you different info- same info told in a different way...
