I need some advise. I'm new at this so please excuse me if I sound stupid. I would like to bring my son and his family to BCV this summer with me but I would like to do it as economically as possible and use as few points as I can. I have 3 adults (me, my son and his wife) 3 grandchildren ages 11,3 & 1.
I was hoping to rent a one bedroom because it is really big enough for us but I don't know if we can with one to many little ones. Does anyone have any suggestions besides a 2 bedroom. I appreciate anyones ideas, this board is so informative. Thanks so much.

About the same number of points as one bedroom, but of course - no kitchen, which may or may not matter to you. :confused3

The 1 year old really doesn't count as a person in a room I believe. But you still would be looking at 5 people. A 1 bedroom would be cramped in my eye.....2 studios next to each other may be the better alternative.

I have the exact scenario for my vacation at the end of April. I spoke to DVC who informed me that the normal occupancy if four plus one infant. She told me that I was alright with 6 (one is an infant), but I cannot ask for additonal towels, plates, etc.

I did try and get a two-bedroom, but there were none available. We will only have the two extra (my sister and her daughter) for a few days, so I guess we could put up with the cramped space.

The rules say 4 for a 1 BR. They will tend to allow a 5th but not a 5th plus an infant. They have done it but tend not to.

The rules say four plus an infant. I called DVC to try and get a two-bedroom but none were available. I then was going to book a separate studio for their three days, but DVC informed me that it would be alright if they stayed in the one bedroom, as long as we didn't ask for additional towels, etc. In no way was I trying to get around the rules, they actually advised me that it would be fine with the one bedroom. :confused3

The rules say 4/4/8/12. DVC gives flexibility for the one infant, but that is not the true rule.

My personal opinion is that while the room may actually be big enough to hold you all you would be all over each other if you tried to put 6 in a one-bedroom at BCV.

In addition, at this point in time I would guess it may be a bit late to try and secure a 1 or 2 bedroom room for the summer at BCV.

My suggestion would be to try and get a 2-Bedroom at OKW. It offers more room, requires less points and you have a greater chance of success.

Are you a member? Or did you need a member to make a reservation for you? If you don't already have a BCV reservation, you are probably already too late. Have you thought about the All Stars family suites?
