Please help, I need some advice. We are planning a trip back to WDW next June/July. We are staying on our points in a studio the first week at Beach Club Villas. Then on the weekend we are going to go over and stay at Universal (if entr. rates ever come out). Then we are going over to Board Walk Villas on points for 5 nights in 1 br. We need reservations for July 2-5. Don't want to use our points over a weekend and figure I should get a reservation in now before things get too booked. I can't decide between staying at an All-stars, Moderate (either PO or Carrib.) or trying Swan/Dolphin. My husband is a govt. employee (Dept. of Homeland Security) so we might could qualify for a discounted rate there. What should I do????? My son will turn 14 while we are there and daughter is 9.

Thanks,

Pam

I would leave Disney for those few days and check-in at Hard Rock at Universal...just for the Front of the line passes you'll get for staying on-sit there. That's what I am going to do next trip back to IOA and US. You children will love being able to ride any ride as many times as they want with no waiting.

My first impression was to advise you to use the government employee discount at the Swan or Dolphin, and, I still like that idea. We always stay at YC or BC because we love the Epcot resort area. BUT, you're staying in that area anyway because you're doing BCW and BWV. So, I thought maybe you should try a moderate for those 3 days just for something different.

Our favorite moderate is Coronado Springs - it's beautifully themed and in my opinion the nicest of the moderates. But, you should choose based on what theme you would prefer.

This way, you'll have a very varied trip. Epcot Resort area, Universal, and a moderate.

Have fun whatever you do.

Whatever you decide, make sure to book room only. There often are discounts at that time, especially if you have APs (I'm guessing you do by the length of your trip). You can book something, watch for discounts, then cancel and rebook if something good comes along.

Definitely stay at one of the Universal hotels. Front of the line access would be worth it. :)

Wow, I'm jealous of the length of your trip!!!!! :)

My first thought was also Swan or Dolphin with the gov't rate but as PamNC pointed out you will have already been in that area at BCV and BWV you might want a change of scenery. If not then go for the Swan/Dolphin!! :) But I think Carribean Beach looks fun and your kids seem the right ages to think the beach theme was cool. I like the look of their rooms plus they do have watercraft there if your kids are into that and by that time you may be taking it real easy. And their pool looks fun too.

Thanks everyone for your responses. We will stay at Universal the first weekend we are there, and we purchased the tickets that are good for only 5 consecutive days, so I really don't want to go back to Universal on the 2nd weekend if we don't have park tickets.

Decisions, Decisions......

Thanks,

Pam
