need advice

We are in dhs today, and have Fantasmic package got the first show. 7 pm. Do we have time to watch the lights get turned on and then hit foot it to the Fantasmic line? I wanted to watch them turn it on, but not at the expense of our reserved seats at Fantasmic. I think they are turned on at 5:45 but can't see that time online

It will be tough - the crowds back there are crazy when they are first turned on. You can't move at your own pace - you get herded through like cattle. I'd plan to see them after Fantasmic. They get re-turned on through out the night as they switch between songs.

It is possible. If you stand at the intersection of New York Street and Pixar Avenue (close to the nativity scene) or on New York Street right by the facade of the New York skyline. Then you can see them turn on (5:45 pm) maybe stay for a couple of songs then leave

just a heads up, they extended the hours for today. Now DHS is closing at 9:30 pm so more time if you wanna go see the ligfts after F!

Thank you all! We decided to skip watching them turn the lights on and go after the show. It was 4:45 when we left dinner and folks are already lined up to see.
