I'm not really sure what to do. My husband and I are leaving in a couple weeks to celebrate our anniversary. I have a chronic tear of the peroneal ligament on my ankle. I wore an ankle brace for 4 weeks, didn't help and now I am in a walking boot. I get around just fine for the most part, but the boot does cause me to have some hip and back pain due to the uneven height.

Should I rent an ECV to get around the parks? We will be using all Disney transportation to get to and from as well. My options are either use the ECV to get around with just wearing my ankle brace or no ECV and wear my boot and rest a lot or wear boot and use ECV. Also, what about attractions like Spash? I can't really do stairs with the boot on.

It know it sounds really selfish and self centered but my husband and I don't get to go anywhere alone except for once every 5 years and I just want to have a good time and not have every picture of me from our vacation be me sitting on a scooter. On the other hand, I don't want to tear up my ankle more or spend every day in pain :worried:

Get a scooter. When you want to take pictures, just park the scooter off to the side. You can park the scooter and walk around some, then come back to it- anytime you'd like.

Needing a scooter or wheelchair isn't a binary thing, where you have to be in it 100% of the time to use it.

Rides that have stairs in the lines have an alternate entrance for the disabled.
