Planning a few days at DLP before a cruise leaving from Barcelona. Which airport to fly into from the states (airport code would be helpful). Also which hotel to stay at because we are unfamiliar we would like to stay on property for transfers. We would also like to visit the Eiffel tower. How would we arrange that? Lastly unfamiliar with Euros can I just use my card from most purchase. How much to exchange for tipping etc. Thanks

The airport code for charles de gaulle is CDG.
You can travel from the airport by a shuttleservice or TGV.

As for hotels at disney it depends on your budget.
Look at the official disney website www.disneylandparis.com .

You can visit the eiffeltour from disney by RER , you buy a mobilies ticket around €13 or € 14 that takes in paris and you can use it in 5 zones which also includes eiffel tour.
Or take a bus tour that leaves from the Disney New York Hotel.

I think you can you use your creditcard but that depends on from which bank it is, you need to inform with your cc company for rates etc.

Tipping in restaurants and hotel is in europe not neccasary but your own choice.

As you will only be staying a few days, and probably won't want to miss out on Park time how about a nighttime tour of Paris, you will get to see the Eiffel tower but not go up it.,

All the onsite disney hotels are pretty close to the parks, the furthest and cheapest (Santa Fe and Cheyenne) are only a brisk 10 min walk or slow 15 min walk. All depends on your budget and your party. If you have kids, esp boys, they love the Cheyenne - great cowboy theming. If you are just grown ups, and have the budget, Hotel NewYork gets consistently good reviews. Personally I like the Sequoia Lodge, which is in my budget range, recently refurbished and almost as close to parks as the New York.

There is no minimal payment needed for paying by card and you have several ATM's in the parks but you will of course have fees charged by your bank and there is the exchange rate which will change from when you pay to when you are charged.

Tipping is not necessary here in France as you pay an included service charge of 12% when eating at TS/Buffet restaurants and there is VAT included on everything else (between 5.5-19.6%)

We eat out a lot and either leave nothing or just round up to the next € . If we are a large group or it's a special occasion and the service was outstanding we might leave 10% but never ever beyond that.

I have never left anything in a hotel in Europe either but always do in N.America, Mexico and Asia as I know minimum wage either doesn't exist or it's a pittance.

Here we have a minimum wage and nothing is docked of it as they expect people to leave tips say so what you see on your contract is what you get. :goodvibes
