Need advice

Sounds as though she's been through alot in 12 short years. Kids react to stress in a variety of ways. Try to remember that she's still a little girl who needs your love and understanding. (Listen to what she means; not just what she says).
I say take her... and your sense of humor (along with your patience)! View it as an oportunity to bridge some gaps and make some happy, new memories ...Disney is a great place to enjoy time together. Remember, they grow very quickly. Don't waste time being angry with her.

I totally agree with this. I have 6 children, including a 12 year old daughter and a 14 year old daughter. She is mostly likely having alot of hormonal changes going on and that is very hard on little girls. Good luck!

I would definitely take her. I am the Mom of 3 girls, now ages 17-22 and we have 25 trips to FW under our belt ....... been there, done that, bought the t-shirt and it doesn't even fit anymore! While I am pretty sure that there will be some people that will disagree with our approach, I am here to say ..... it worked and it was pretty non-confrontational.

Instead of buying our kids any souvenirs while the were on "the trip of a lifetime", we tied monetary rewards to behavior. This way each kid was in charge of their own "account". They were told that at the end of each day they would be given $5 if they had a day without "incidents". That money was theirs to spend each day or save and buy one bigger souvenir upon leaving WDW. In all the years we traveled, there were probably only 5 incidences amongst the 3 girls that warranted losing their incentive. In addition, it kept them from asking for everything in gift shops, as they had their own decisions to make regarding spending souvenir money.

To make it all official, I bought a box of white envelopes, stamped Disney characters on them and pre-loaded them all with $5 before we left home. We would sit down, discuss vacation rules and the sight of that bundle of money would usually render them compliant.:thumbsup2 This approach worked well in the situation like you described where you don't want to end up punishing your son ....... and it is cheaper than a plane ticket home!
