Need Advice

We find out March 9th where we'll be going next year for my husband's internship. Within the week after, his new supervisor should be calling him for introductions, etc. We want to take the kids to Disney in November, and I desperately want to go during Free Dining and stay onsite. However if we can't go during free dining we'll stay off site someplace with a kitchen.

Here's the problem----****if**** free dining is released March 1st for our dates (we want to stay at a Value...don't care which one) do I book for dates and then hope his supervisor approves it? Or do I wait and hope there is still availability around the 15th when he gets a chance to talk to him?

This is our first trip...based on previous experience, do you think there will still be availability in any of the values a couple weeks after the deal starts? Or should I book it and hope for the best, knowing we might lose $200 if we can't arrange dates that work later?

First, even if FD is announced to the public, I don't think that they'll cover dates as far out as November. I think if FD is available, it will be through pin codes, which will probably be more likely that it will cover extended dates.

That being said, FD in values fills up quickly. I would book the minute it's announced. You can cancel a package w/out penalty as long as you're not within the 45 day window.

Book and hope for the best, dont think you will lose your $200. if you cancel before 45 days out which would not be until Sept/Oct.

Really?!?! You can cancel over 45 days out and not lose your deposit?!?! (See what a newbie I am! I had no idea!) I will be on the phone first thing March 1st booking (providing I get a pin). Thanks everyone!!
