We are looking at a house that we found on VRBO and I wanted to see if anyone here has ever dealt with the people that own it. They seem very nice and they gave us a wonderful rate but, I have heard such awful stories of people getting the raw end of deal! The vrbo number is 2985 and their name is Wilkinson. Has anyone stayed here before??

We rent often from private owners. The best thing to do is give them a call and get to know each other. You can also ask for their management company and call and verify information. Home ownership can be verified on tax assessor webpage. Payment should be done with credit card via pay pal. Check carefully and trust your instincts. I find that good owners are very willing to discuss things, respond promptly, and are willing to give references. If they become defensive pass them by.
