We looking at going back to the world Dec 08 for the xmas period again. The only site i can see which lets you book at the moment is Virgin Holidays. Do you think we should book and get the dates we want etc or wait? Do you think the prices will go up before now and this xmas? Thanks everyone.

Hi Emily,

We booked our Xmas 2006 trip 18 mths in advance with VH and took the chance with the price then. We did check it a number of times prior to our trip but it only was at a lower price a few months before we went - and at that not much lower. (It was only the flydrive too as we booked accommodation separately)

Our dates were not for the main holiday period but from 10th - 27th so the outbound flight was probably not going to book up anyway but we booked early so that we were sure of them (plus the price wasn't too bad when we booked)

It really is a risk but if you are happy with the price it may be worth while going ahead to be sure of your dates.

Tracey

Like you we too are hoping to travel out for xmas 2008:banana:  and are pretty unsure what to do at the moment :confused3, do we book a fly drive with VH or do we wait a bit longer

Difficult isn't it, i kinda feel in a way i should wait till december time when maybe there is sales etc...Sooo confused!

If you know when you want to go book as soon as you can.
If you leave too late you might not get your required dates.

If you are happy with the current price book it now. I never like hanging around once we have the made the decision of where to go and when, much better to get it booked up and longer to save up. I would rather know we are going to the hotel of our choice for the weeks we want, rather than be continually watching for lower prices and availability.

I agree. Book now. Things tend to book up for Disney, especially during peak times - and Christmas is the peak of the peak.

Thanks for the replies guys! We're definatelyy going to book when we finish arguing (sorry discussing) where to stay! At the moment it's between a moderate or the Wilderness lodge!

Hi we've booked for Dec 08 with Virgin got a good priceand hotel we wanted so went ahead and booked it:thumbsup2

We looked into Virgin for Dec 1st this year. Good prices and if we phone Virgin direct we can use our Tesco vouchers. At present we have £100 of vouchers which equates to £400 off the cost of a holiday!    Once the vouchers come contact Tesco who then exchange them. I also found out that if you book for a Thursday flight you avoid paying weekend rates and can save about £70 Strange though, I always thought a Friday was a week day not a weekend:confused3
