need advice

Okay, here's the situation. We would like to invite my sister in law and her family and also my in laws on vacation with us. The problem is that my sister in law's husband is in the service and she says they really can't plan anything more than 2 months out because they never know if they will actually get to leave. Well, two months isn't much notice for making reservations for DVC. If she has to cancel it will be too late to bank the points. Any suggestions?

Book only the size DVC you would need for the people who would definitely be able to go and then book theirs very last minute.

Ask her to solo - if she doesn't want to do that, wait until he is out of the service.

That's a tough one.... I usually get complaints from family when I try to confirm that they are going at the 11 month window so I can book that it's far too early to try and make plans....

What I would say is that if you REALLY want them to go and are willing to sacrifice a bit, keep your plans flexible... IE... Don't concern yourself with which onsite resort or size of room... Wait until two months and then book whatever accomidations you can to cover everyone in the party... IE... a 2BR or 2 studios... Whatever works...
