Hi, I am doing the land and sea package, I am doing four days in disneys carribean beach and four nights on the wonder. I was booked through costco travels which means disney does all the direct bookings. I want to know did anyone else book straigth with disney for air and all. They are telling me even though I booked it a year in advance and I paid good money for my flight they dont book the airfare until 30 days before departure and they cant guarentee me a direct flight and what time I will get my flights coming and going. Which I dont think is very fair. I dont want a late flight going because I will lose a whole day of park time. And I dont want a late flight going home because I dont want to spend the day at the airport since disney will be taking me back from the ship.I live in NY so its only a two hour flight with a direct flight. I also wanted to know what night do they do the pirate party because I want to book a night at palos and I want to try all three restraunts and not miss the pirate party. So I thought I would try it on the fourth night so I dont miss anything. I also want to know from people who have stayed in the carribean beach, If they were happy with it. How far were u from the parks? Did it take you long to get to them using the disney tranportation? What part of the carribean would you reccomnend? I am trying to get everything in and done in so little time. Any advice would help? How was the breakfast at the royal table? Would you reccomend for dinner or breakfast? One of the guides said not to have breakfast there and waste park time. PLease give me your adivice. Leaving March 14,2007. :cool1: :wave2:

I'm not sure if this will help you or not, but when I booked our cruise through DCL, I wanted to book the whole thing--airfare, transfers, etc. I found out that the airlines Disney works with do not offer a direct flight from Kansas City to Orlando, so I ended up booking my airfare on my own. However, maybe there is a direct flight from where you are to Orlando?? :confused3 I hope you end up with a direct flight. That was important to me as well. You are going to have a blast no matter how you get there though! :thumbsup2

Wow, you have a lot of questions, LOL.

I would suggest, for a better response, that you minimally break your questions up into paragraphs (as I've done here) so people can easily read them.

You may also want to ask your questions about CBR on the Resorts board.

I book everything myself, so I can't help with your Costco situation. Maybe someone here can.

I don't know what night Pirate Night is on the four night cruise, however, you could consider doing Palo brunch. Palo is beautiful in the daytime. Our friends enjoyed the brunch better than the dinner last cruise. Then you wouldn't miss any dinners.

Enjoy your trip!! :wizard:

First off welcome to the DIS and the DCL forums. I've moved this to the main cruise forum where I'm sure you'll get more answers.

We have always booked our own flights so that we get the times and days we want (we like flying in the day before).

A good place to start your research is the FAQ thread which is at the top of the page (or you can click on the link in my signature).

Also the resorts board is a great place to find out more about the Caribbean Beach resort.
Enjoy your trip planning!

Pirate night on the 4 night is held on the 3rd day. You repeat the 2nd dining room that night, so you would be missing the 3rd dining room if you skipped dinner for Palo on the last night.

The only way to get your airfare booked the way you want it ahead of time is to do it yourself. That is how DCL books it for everyone. You are at their mercy.

If you have a specific flight request when you book air thru DCL, it is called an "air deviation" and costs $50 per person. For instance, if you say "direct flights only," that is $50. If you say "early in the day," that is another $50. DCL works with certain airlines, and will only book you on those regardless of who else might fly out of your home airport.

When I looked at this, I ultimately decided that I was better off booking the air that I wanted.

I got lost in your post, so that's enough answer for now. If you have 10 questions, considering numbering them or breaking them into topic paragraphs so we can find our way thru them.

The packages work as a total of 7 days. You are either only at CBR for 3 nights or on the Wonder for 3 nights. Please make sure if you added one that it is on your itenerary. Costco has great rates, but the reps may or may not know the ins and outs of Disney cruising.

You can CALL COSTCO and have them contact Disney. FOr $50 a person you can ask for an AIR DEVIATION.

THE Air deviation allows you to request direct flights and even times. Within 24 hours (maybe 48) Disney responds to your request with airline, flight numbers and times. You ACCEPT or DECLINE the deviation they send you. Again, they add $50 to the price of the airfare they already quoted you.

Since Disney's rules on discounting have changed since you booked, you may run into trouble if you try to drop the air -- they might see it as re-booking and the price of your cruise would go up. But, as many requests as you have, I would sure ask!! Once you get through to a COSTCO agent, stay on the phone until you have the situation resolved to your satisfaction.

If I were calling asking to drop flights, I would know the flights I wanted(and the prices if I booked with the airline directly.)

GOOD LUCK! :goodvibes

We did the Land Sea Package last November.

We booked our airfares separately for 2 reasons. It was significantly less than Disney cost (we had booked initially through Disney and then cancelled when we found out we could save approximately $300 each for our roundtrip airfares by booking with US Air - we saved $1200 on this). Secondly, we were able to get our plane tickets many months earlier than we would have from Disney. Also, we knew well in advance what time we would be leaving.

I have stayed here three times and I love it...it is pretty centrally located...Look at a resport map and try and request a building that is close to the main building....
