Need Advice - Where to Park?

Ok.. Here's the deal... We are in Disney on April 6-10. On the 9th of April my mom and her husband are driving up from Venice, FL to spend the day with us since it is my son's 18th bday that day. We will be spending the day at DHS. The Park hours are 10 am - 7 pm that day. My son wants to go to Shula's for dinner that night. So I have a 6:30 pm reservation at The Dolphin. I know we can walk or take the boat over from DHS to The Dolphin.

My question is - where should I have my mom and her husband park when they come up in the morning? At the Dolphin? At DHS? Somewhere else? They will be leaving to drive back home after dinner.

I'd going to suggest the Dolphin, because I don't think there will be any transportation to DHS after dinner so you're mom (or you) could be walking back to DHS. While it's a great walk they may not want to do that. Self-parking fees at the Dolphin are $29.00 for each exit, so they'd only pay that once. Plus Shulas does validate for parking, I'm not sure about all day but they very well may. Considering Disney parking rate of $25 its not that much more. So when your mom/husband arrives they can take the boat or walk from Swan/Dolphin to DHS and spend the day with you. Since you'll want to make a reservation at Shula's call them at 407-934-1362 and you can ask about the parking situation for your mom too.

How will the rest of you be getting to DHS and then to Shula's? Will you be driving yourselves? Why not have them park at Boulder Ridge? That shouldn't cost them anything since it's just for the day and they are joining you. But, if you want them to be able to just hop in their car and head home right after dinner, I would suggest trying to park at the S/D. I'm just not sure how that will work for daily parking. They might be better off just leaving the car at DHS. But, that means getting back to DHS and I'm not sure how long the boats will be running, or if they will want to make the walk back to the parking lot.
Wow...talk about letting my mind wander. It might just be best if they can join you at Boulder Ridge. Easier all around. But, you probably want to be able to leave for DHS early, prior to their arrival.

Thanks, everyone... I think I am going to have them park at the dolphin... That way if we are at the park before they get to the park they can just meet us there and after dinner, they can just head home. We will probably just uber back to Boulder Ridge from the Dolphin...

Have them park at DHS. Then the 4 of you ride in their car from DHS to the Dolphin for dinner. Then they drop you off at Boulder Ridge and they drive home.

I would want to park wherever it is most convenient. Can they park at your resort in the morn or at Dolphin for the evening.?
Im trying to decide if I would want the early morning greeting fun or the later after dinner convenience of dining and departing after dinner from the Dolphin to drive away. From your description , it sounds like you would be eligible just not sure about parking fees. Iprob would not want to finish dinner and then have to walk back to HS unless Ireally had to.
