Need advice - WDW to Universal, Universal to MCO

Hello, transportation experts! .
My DH. DS, and DS's friend are going to WDW July 12. They have DME reserved to get them to the Beach Club. They will need transportation to the Royal Pacific Resort on July 18, then to MCO on the 20th. Should they look into a town car, Mears, taxis, etc.? We usually do a rental car, but I'm not going along, and I am the driver, not my DH - he would rather not rent a car.
What would you all suggest? Thanks!

Hi, Our last trip (2003) we used FL tours from MCO to HRH, from HRH to POR and POR to MCO. They did a terrific job (always on time and very helpful). It went very smoothly.

I've done it with combinations of taxis and towncars and it isn't too expensive. It cost about $30 for a taxi to go to Universal from the all-stars. I think it was $40 to go to the airport from Universal. We did a rental car this last time and it was worth it for us not to have to worry about ME and the busses. I almost prefer the taxis since I can take those on my own schedule and don't have to worry about me being late or the towncar possibly being late. Gives you a little more control over times.

Last year we stayed at POR and used Mears to go to Universal. REasonable price (don't exactly remember), but it was well worth it. No problem with the pickup either.
