My family and I will be in San Diego for Presidents' Day weekend and that Tuesday. We want to go to Legoland, SeaWorld, and the zoo and are trying to figure out the best day to go to each one. I know that Legoland is the farthest to drive to and am wondering if it would be better to go on the weekend(less traffic, but possibly more crowded) or to go on Tuesday(with everyone back to work and commuting, but less crowded in the park). I guess my question is, how bad is the drive from San Diego to Legoland on a workday morning vs. a weekend/holiday? Any advice would be greatly appreciated.

The drive from Legoland to downtown is about 30 - 45 minutes depending on traffic, but can take longer if rush hour traffic is bad. As far as when to go, I would look at the hours of operation for each park, especially Legoland, as they have days they are closed during slower times of year.

IMHO I would do SW on the weekend. They have a somewhat extended schedule on the weekends. Legoland hours are the same everyday. The nice thing is that for the most part you are going in the opposite direction of rush hour. Just avoid 805N that time of the morning.
