We (a married couple in our early 30s) are spending three nights in June at the AKL - our first trip to WDW since childhood! .Since our stay is short, do we need to rent a car? I have a feeling it will only be used to drive to andf rom the airport. If we dont rent the car, how do you recommend getting to AKL from MCO? The bus (whatever the group trans. is called) or via a taxi/town car? Our flight is scheduled in just before 11AM Sat and leaving at 7PM Tues. Since our time is short we are looking for the method that balances time w/cost. HELP!

Thanks!

Whether or not you need a car, IMO, depends on what you want to do while you are there, especially on a short trip.

Are you going to be spending most of your time in one park each day? If so, you could use the buses while in WDW and take a shuttle or car service from/to the airport.

Will you be going to different resorts or DTD for meals, shopping, etc.? Are you going to do a lot of park hopping? If so, a car would save a lot of time you'd otherwise spend on buses - and on a short trip you don't have time to waste.

I think given our timeframe that we will be mostly in the park - I am thinking (remember I am a novice!) at least one day at Epcot, one at Magic Kingdom, One a Animal Kingdom - I don't imagine we'll park hop - unless we are going to Epcot for an evening or dinner. Therefore, we probably don't need the car. From my research, it sounded like it took more time to park andget into the park than it did to take the bus from AKL. Is this wrong?
