Hi everyone! I am so excited I can barely think, ok well I can not think that is where you guys come in!
We are a family of 6 (ds11 ds7 dd5 ds2) and dh and I. We are leaving tomorrow and spending one night at the Nick Hotel (had to do it) I plan on staying at the NH untill probably after lunch on Thursday then heading over to WDW.
This is actually a change from my very rigid itinerary planned for months. We were planning on checking in to WDW on Fri, but wanted to suck every last minute out of our vaca. Since our flight home leaves at 6:00 am on Thursday 5/26, we moved vaca to check in a day earlier and check out Wed. instead of having a wasted day of possible Disney Magic! Ya - crazy I know - but I could not see paying for that 7th day of parks and not getting to go!
SOOOOO, anyway - because of this Thurday has opened up for us. I have planned our park days around what PS I made as we have base tickets and may or may not upgrade to PH at the park.
This is the original plan
Friday - made no PS as this was supposed to be our first day and did not want to be stressed about making it to PS on time. I plan this day to be our MGM day . Am I right in thinking this is a one day park? I plan on going to SciFI, (don't worry - we are not food conniseurrs (sp?) just want to experience the atmosphere)
Saturday we have a pirate cruise planned for our middle 2. Our oldest is autistic and may or may not enjoy, so he and ds 2 will stay with us. Any suggestions what to do with that time at the GF with only 2? Forget the spa - I wouldn't know how to relax if I had an itinerary for that. LOL
Saturday night we have PS at PSB dinner so we were planning on Epcot. We may have an opportunity to get free tickets to Sea World tho so we may hit that during the day and go to Epcot for dinner late. Is Sea World something that can be enjoyed if we only go like noon to 5 or 6??
Sunday we have first PS at 8:05 at CP so this will be a MK day. We have dinner at CM.
Monday rest of family that is joining us in FL.planned on MK for this day,so I think we will be doing that (MK on Mon - YUCK!)
I managed to snag CRT for BKFST - but only for 2. Very bummed about that - but took what I could.I plan on myself or DH taking dd as she is the one who would enjoy this the most. My boys don't even like eating, so one of us will have a quick bite with them somewhere and do some rides while dd and dh or I take her to brkfst. I originally made a PS for lunch for all of us at CRT just to be sure dd could eat in the castle. I know there will be no characters, but thought just eating in the castle may be magic enough. I am thinking of cancelling this one - what do you think? That night we have PS at 1900 Park Faire for 12 of us at 7:50.
Tuesday I have the tea party planned for middle dc. I may cancel this as it is smack in the middle of the day (1:30 - 2:30) and would be yet another thing our other two would not get to do. Still up in the air though. Since we have dinner planned at Coral Reef, I plan on this being another Epcot day.
Wednesday - our last day!! We will be doing AK this day to be with other family members and have a beautiful evening planned with dinner at Ohana's for 19 followed by two boats for bday cruises! My ds will be turning 7, my nephew one! because I am a lunatic, we have already checked out and after cruise will spend some time with family then head to Tampa as that is where our flight is from. BTW - flying to Tampa instead of Orlando saved us enough to pay for our car rental!
So in addition to ALL of the above questions (SORRY!) this is the biggie - where do we goThursday?
We have 2 days at MK
2 days at Epcot
1 day at MGM
1 day at AK
Should we do MK for our new first day in (Thursday) Should we go to Blizzard Beach? My ds 11 loves water rides - but we will be fresh from Nick Hotel and other kids not so crazy about water rides.WWYD? I hesitate to go to MK on our first day because I kind of consider (though I have never been to any of them!) the other parks to be a bit less on the richter scale of excitement. I know they are all great - but you know what I mean!
Should I just add the darn PH so I don't have to worry so much? I hate to spend another $130 when we don't HAVE to. I seriously doubt anyone will be up to more than one park a day anyhow!
And yet another dilemna - although we have PS for Princess Storybook Dinner - the food does not look very appealing to me. All the rest of the meals are for the kiddos and since Le Cellier is now only one TS I am DYING to try that - especially for DH who is very reluctantly going along here as we truly do not have the $$ for this. Should I cancel the PSB and try for Le Cellier? Should I make our first day be Epcot so we can go to Le Cellier AND PSB? I just don't see going to Epcot for 3 days and MK for 2 - does not make sense to me. If we get the PH it won't matter, but thast kind of defeats the purpose of saving $$. We do have Park Faire scheduled so dd will get to see Cindy, and of course she will see them in the parks so will we be REALLY missing out by changing PSB to Le Cellier? I really do not want to cancel Coral Reef and did hear the food CAN (though not consistently) be good. I have heard they do have a very good filet mignon - so do you think this will count as a special dinner for DH?
I do know some of these questions are better for the restaurants board and I will post there also, but questions here about the parks are:
Is MK a must do for 3 days?
Could Epcot really be a 2.5 day park?
Is one day enough for AK and MGM?
Do you have any thoughts as to the particular days we are hitting each park?
Thursday ?
Friday MGM
Saturday Epcot (and possibly Sea World)
Sunday MK
Mon MK
Tues Epcot
Wed AK
THANK YOU if you even got this far!! Just trying to plan the best vaca ever!
