I have a dilemma that I need to solve and need expert advice:

We have reservations for Dec. 21-27 (21st at All-Star Sports, 22,23,24 at GF, and 25, 26, 27 at the Dolphin)

I have always wanted to stay at the GF and Dolphin, but I am concerned that this may be too much moving around.
We are a family of four, children are ages 11 & 14.

Opinions????

Thanks

I do not think that this should be a problem - you kids are about the same age as mine and they should be able to handle thier own stuff.

If anything I would eliminate the first night at ASsp and just start at GF.

As I understand it, Disney will move your bags for you, if you want. So, all you would need to do is check out and check in again at the new place. Keep in mind, though, that check-in time typically is around 4pm so you have to plan accordingly. Someone may know how long it takes to transfer your bags from one hotel to another if you don't have a car.

If it were me, I, too, would eliminate the night at All Stars and just stay at the GF. That would eliminate one of your moves. You could visit the All Stars to see it, if you want. Depends on your family but I don't think it would be a problem...especially with children that age.

You'll be fine! If I were arriving very late on my first night, then I would stay at the AS that first night. For me, I would hate to spend a large chunk on the first night, if I were arriving only in time to sleep. I would just pack a small bag for this first night, then move to the Deluxe after a good night's sleep.
We love changing resorts. It makes the vacation seem much longer, and my boys are almost 6 and 8.

It seems you have to have a certain temperament or attitude to switch resorts many times during a trip. I'd like to experience different resorts during a trip, but, I am a 'planner', and just don't want to take the chance of any problems. If someone in our party doesn't feel well, or is sick, I don't want to take the chance of not having a room for a day because my 'new' room isn't ready yet. I'm not going to have my sick kid rest on a couch in a lobby because he doesn't feel like doing anything and we don't have a room.

I put a lot of planning into what type and location of room I want, and I don't want to have to deal with that 3 or 4 times over the course of a vacation.

We like to completely unpack everything and make the room as comfortable as possible, I just can't imagine packing and unpacking 3 or 4 times.

But, like I say, that's just ME.

We are arriving at 11PM our first night. That is if they don't change the flight. We are staying at the ASMusic. I am packing one bag with the things we need for the next day. The rest of the bags will just stay in the car. I think that it is a bit of a pain to move but I would rather save the $150 for something more enjoyable than a pillow for my weary head. We will be checking into the Poly very early the next morning and then off to the parks. We are only going to be there for 5 days but I think that if you pack well you will find the changing of resorts to make your vacation seem even more exciting. Enjoy!
