I am planning a trip to DL in september and I am trying to decide between September 12th-16th or september 26th-30th. I have been trying to research and I've seen that most people recommend the week after labor day, because the crowds are minimal, but i've heard alot of rides are closed down. Can anyone recommend which week would be better? Does DL get busier around the end of Sept because of "Halloweentime'?
Thank you! :goodvibes

I'd do the later time. Sure it will be busier. But much more likely to include the Halloween season, which is a lot of fun. Weekdays will be slighly crowded, but the weekend a little crowded, really nothing to worry about. The only problem that could come back is if DLR announces Halloween parties during that time. Still though a better time.

Thank you. Is there anywhere that lists what rides they shut down (In DL and Adventure Park) to switch over to the holiday themes? So far i've only seen that HM and SM close.

There is historical data all over the net. Even here on WDW info. But for Halloween only HM and SM close for layovers. In DCA ToT gets a special ride sequence but I don't believe that requires a ride closure to do.

With Halloween time starting Sept 16th, would it be better to go Sept 17-21 or Sept 24-28? We don't care about going to the party, just want to avoid crowded parks.

We have been twice in September. Our first trip was earlier in Sept and so nice because there were little to no crowds. However, SM was open bc they hadn't start GGSM yet so we just missed Haunted Mansion and a couple of other minor rides. Definitely shorter hours and less showtimes. Our second trip ended with the launch of Halloween and the parks were packed! It was also the inaugural year for Ghost Galaxy SM. So way more crowded but also longer hours, more rides open, and more showtimes. I like this site to follow park updates and closing/refurb schedules:

It will make only a little difference unless the parties start during those times. If no parties earlier will be better. If a party falls, you either want to go then for the party or avoid that time.
