Need advice on which Italian place

Ok, which would you choose?

Portobello Yacht Club at downtown or L'originale Alfredo at Epcot

Depending on when you are going, I understand that the Italian restaurant at Epcot is closing down but I am not sure when exactly

It might be that you will only have the one choice.

if you like pasta dishes and a more authentic feeling Alfredo if you like Meat dishes then Portobello .

I have dined at both in the past 5 months and would chose Alfredos over PYC.

1) Alfredo's will be closed.
2) Portobello isn't all that great.

Its for next week - Ill be at EPCOT on 5/30 so Alfredos should be open

In my opinion, Alfredos is the worst Italian restaurant in WDW, the food was inedible. Olive Garden is 100X better. Linda

We ate at Alfredo's a couple of weeks ago and I was very disappointed in the fettucine Alfredo. It was very bitter tasting. My DD's meal was good with a light tasting sauce. The salads were crisp and fresh. The desserts were good. I had really looked forward to eating here and was just very disappointed.
We ate at Portobello's many years ago and I remember it as being OK, but family members we were with said it had been better when they had gone before. So, maybe it was just an off night.

IMO, Alfredo's is seriously lacking. I'm glad it is closing and nobody will bug me to eat there again. Olive Garden is much better and a whole lot cheaper. Not far from Disney, either.

Haven't done PYC, can't help you there.

DH and I love Alfredo's and the fettucini is out of this world good and authentic if compared side by side with Olive Garden. DH is a fan of the lasagne but he always asks for extra sauce....

we're very disappointed Alfredo's is closing.
