Hi all,
I have been lurking on these boards for years but have just started posting. My question is about taking our Foster children who are about to become our adopted children to WDW. I have been thinking of taking each one individually for a few days first before the big family trip next summer. The reasons behind this are these kids get overwhelmed very easily. Just 6 months ago was their first trip to McDonalds!!
They are 5 year old girl and 7 year old boy. Also DD's 6th bday is in December and when we had the discussion of where she wanted to have her birthday party she without a pause said WDW!
Well being the Disney fanatic I am DH and I began to try and find a way without going broke to make this happen. Since this is going to be a very big christmas for them since it will be their very first one with us and also the first one of really seeing the magic of it.
Anyway, I really want to go in Dec with DD but also am torn about my DH not getting to sse her precious face when she sees it for the first time. Also her brother not getting to go until next May for his birthday makes me worried how he will react.
I guess I want to give my children the world and make everyone happy at the same time. Also DH and I think that this way we will have one on one time with each of them and be able to keep the overwhelmed feelings at a min if we go for 4 days for each of them.
Any ideas or input?
Holly
