So we have a friend joining us on our upcoming trip in 2.5 weeks. When I made the reservation, I got her a 6-day park ticket with everyone else on our reservation. It turns out she has an annual pass. I called Disney to try and cancel her ticket but of course it's not that easy. The only option presented seem to be to remove her from the reservation completely - but I think that would also remove her from all our dining and FP+ reservations as well. If I do that, and she checks in with us that day, can I add her back onto our dining reservations and FP+ reservations? I think I can add an unspecified guest to our dining reservations so that the number stays right but I'm worried about that as well. And, I'm assuming the Magic Band we received in the mail for her would be no good. Should she already have a Magic Band as an annual pass holder? If anyone has experience with this type of thing I would really appreciate the advice! :confused3

I can only help you with the ADR part - you will not lose her off your reservations if you cancel the ticket. Dining is in no way linked to a park ticket, or even to your room reservation.

I am not sure, but I do think you will lose her from your current FP selections and your best bet would be to give her a list of your FP times so she can try to copy them to her existing AP magic band.

Either keep the ticket for yourself to use in the future or give it to your friend to use in the future.

If you remove her from your ressie after the 30 day mark- say 28 days- her FPs should remain intact....and I mean should.....YMMV given the fact that disney routinely screws this stuff up.

What do you mean by "Dining" do you mean ADRs or DxDP?

If it's the DxDP, then everyone in the room needs to have tickets and the same tickets.

If it's ADRs you are fine.

I would suggest you work out with her. Either you eat the cost of the ticket, and keep it (until someone uses the ticket it's transferable) or she pays for the ticket and uses it to renew her AP next year (assuming she'll be doing that.

Thanks, everyone, for the replies. DISers are great! :worship:

We aren't on the DP so it's just the ADRs. And, after you guys said it, it totally made sense to me too that the ADRs should be fine. So I guess I don't have to worry about that piece.

That just leaves the FP+s. Trying to get our friend to copy our ressies on her account sounds like the safest bet. I'm guessing she has a magic band already linked to her AP and can set that up on her own easily. If it turns out her existing FP+ ressies survive the room/ticket cancellation then she can cancel the extras. We'll just need to add her to the room at check-in so she can get in and out!

I feel much better about the situation now. :goodvibes
