Hi all,
I am looking into buying a sit & stand stroller for my upcoming disney trip...my toddler hates his stroller but I think if i buy the s&s he will enjoy it a little better...well my dilemma is which one should i buy? I have been researching all day, reading reviews, visiting baby depts all over test driving...and still not sure. I really liked the Fisher Price Duo but for some reason FP took it off of shelves and cannot find them...except one on ebay. Then I test drove the Baby Trend...seemed to be a little heavy. Then after reading reviews on the Joovy Ultralight, this seems to be the lightest at 21 lbs.
So which one would you suggest?
I like the storage idea of the FP, the price on the BT, and the weight on the Joovy.

Thanks!:confused3

We have a Joovy and LOVE it, but it is heavy. Our other stroller is a Graco ultralight and when I have one kid with me I use that stroller, when I have both I use the Joovy. My 4 year old rides in it when she wouldn't otherwise use a stroller. My 1 year old fits nicely in the front seat with her sitting OR standing in the back.

That said, it's bigger than a single stroller (of course) and heavier. We've flown with it several times and just check it at the gate.

I've tested both the Joovy and the Baby Trend. I found that the Baby Trend manovered better, had more features included (cup holder, parent tray, etc) and allowed a little more room for the rear child to sit. Plus Baby Trend is less expensive. I was all ready to purchase for my upcoming trip with a 5yr old and 1yr old, but changed my mind when I realized that "sit n stand" types don't allow for the front seat to recline flat and that is a "must have" feature for me with a toddler that will want to nap. So now we're taking two strollers:scared1:.

I have the baby trend. It has come in very handy for me, but it doesn't always seem to steer the greatest. Then again, it isn't made for 3 kids.....I just make it work for me ;)
I would buy it again, if I had to do it over. I went for price because I already have WAY too many strollers, that don't get used.....& my kids are older now & almost never ride in one......except when my 2.5 year old actually sits.......then everyone fights to sit :upsidedow

I didn't take it to WDW though because it really doesn't recline

oh yea, besides price, the cupholder, parent tray sold me too

I have the baby trend sit n stand. I used to love it until I took it to Disneyland in CA! LOL!! After pushing it all day, I hated it. So then I went out and bought my Phil and Ted.

The Sit n Stand has some nice features, but it just gets a little hard to steer and push once everything is loaded on it.

LOVE my Joovy Ultralight! It's super easy to fold and open and pretty lightweight for a double stroller. My only complaint is that the basket is hard to get to, but I love the parent organizer that it comes with. Plus- it's orange so it will be easy to spot amongst the crowds.

Thank you so much for all the responses. I'm still undecided. I was told by many to bring or rent a double for the extra room. And now I'm reading a lot of messages about the doubles are just too big. I"m really thinking of the Joovy ultralight for the weight issue. But then again, I like the storage on the baby trend...too many decisions! I wonder if I buy one right before my trip and decide not to like it, for steering, etc...that I can return it and get the other one. Just a thought.....

I just have one child, but thinking in the future and hoping to have another...so i figured if I get the sit & stand it will come in handy whenever I have another...

hmmm...:confused3

WHAHOO!!! I just rec'd my Joovy Ultralight Caboose last night and it was a cinch to put together!!! After riding my son around on it for a little while, I couldn't get him out or off the stroller! I put my big stroller next to it and boy what a difference!!! This tandum stroller folded more compact and a whole lot lighter!
Well I'm not sure of how I'm going to like toting it off & on buses...but I will surely post after.
I've read & rec'd so many reviews, good & bad, about bringing stollers vs renting.
So we will see!
:dance3:

I'm thinking about buying the Joovy too for our upcoming trip as well as I have a DS4 & a DD5 as well as a 9 month old. I've read all the reviews but can't seem to find out how far back the front seat reclines. I know the Baby Trend only reclines slightly in the front which definitely won't work for my baby but just wasn't sure about the Joovy. Thanks!

it doesn't fully recline...but i would say it reclines either as much as the BT or a little more...and if my son took a nap (usually 2 hours) in it, i think it will do just fine...he never really liked to be fully reclined. my concern was that if i rented a stroller, it won't recline...and my regular combo stroller was so BIG & BULKY...so i'm really happy with this one.
