Need advice on possible upgrade

Need some experience with upgrades from some on property pros. I booked first thing the morning the last Disney hotel special came out for a standard room at the DLH and got the lowest price before it started yielding. I booked a room only reservation and so I am still within my cancellation window. The hotel availability OFF property is still pretty good for my dates and there are some excellent last minute deals and so I decided to go the other way.

I called the DLH to cancel. He was reading off my information to confirm everything and told me that due to hotel availability my reservation has already been upgraded from a standard room to a premium room. He hesitated in telling me that because he said they can still technically pull back the upgrade until I check in.

If I can get the premium room for the price I booked, I am pretty tempted to keep it.

What do you think? Do you think if the phone agents' computers are showing it..it's basically a done deal? I hoping someone else has had experience with this

Yes...quite common to get an upgrade from standard...they sell way more "standard rooms" than then have physical standard rooms

Last time we booked a Standard Room at the DLH (at 40% off, no less), we were upgraded to a 1 bedroom suite on the 12th floor of the Fantasy Tower.

Keep the reservation if you can afford it.

Stay at DLH. It's lovely. The entire experience is worth it.
