We will be going to Disney World in January. I thought IF I were to buy the meal vouchers, at least the meals are paid for and I can get the points on the Disney Visa. We will arrive on the 23 and leave the morning of the 29.

I have not been to Disney as an adult, the last time I was there Epcot was still being built.

So here is my family... Two adults, and an 11 year old son, who sometimes eats off the adult menu, but most of the time orders from the kids menu.

This is the must do list of restaraunts....
I want to try Akershus, Marrakesh, and Artist Point at Wilderness lodge. I have PS for Fantasmic package at H&V.

We love to eat, and try new things. So how many vouchers should I buy, and how many of each type?

Also which restraunts should I add to my list for our trip?

Thank you for taking the time to help me... I did read the sticky thread... Good info... I still need help...

You should try the Rainforest Cafe at Animal Kingdom. It is the bery best deal for the vouchers....Your son will like the atmosphere and food is also very good. I also think you would do well for vouchers at Marrakesh, check out www.wdwig.com under menus and see if you can get your moneys worth. I just got 40 quick and casuals and 10 kingdom lunch vouchers and 10 children kingdowm lunch vouchers. We will be at WDW for 14 days so these should cover most of our meals. Have fun planning

You could probably use 2 Q&C vouchers for the 3 of you. It would depend on how much your husband eats. But, you also get dessert with these so you should be able to get filled. We actually used 2 for 4 of us, but Me and my 2 DDs eat lightly.

I purchased 2 Q&C vouchers for the family for each day. A few days we also did a character breakfast, so I had breakfast vouchers for those days.

We used ours at Beaches and Cream. DD(8) and I split the steak sandwich and fries. DH and DD(11) split a double hamburger (cut in half) and fries. We all shared the Fudge Mud Slide sundae AND took home a big brownie (it was actually 4 brownies) in a doggy bag.

We also used ours at Pepper Market. DH and I split a ribeye steak, baked potato, grilled veggies and cheesecake.

You should get some breakfast vouchers and do a character breakfast - your DS would really like Chef Mickeys. The breakfast vouchers cost around $17. The character meals are $16.99 (except the princess ones which are $19.99). But the vouchers also include the tax and tip.

I think the triple Disney points would not work when purchasing the vouchers. I believe that offer is for DS or DS.com.

We used the vouchers for Princess breakfasts in CRT and Norway & saved $. We also did RFC and Q&C. I realized towards the end of the trip that the Q&C weren't such a bad deal at the AS food courts either! We had refillable mugs, but DD was just off formula, so we were able to get her a milk and a Powerade for the next day.

Have a great trip!

Now I am confused....can you use the Q&C vouchers for Rainforrest Cafe? I dont see the Rain Forrest cafe listed as a participant.

And these vouchers can only be used at lunch time.

I meant I used the lunch vpuchers at RFC, and the Q&C other places. DH and I split one voucher at RFC. I believe it cost 30.50, and we were able to use it at 5:30 because RFC lunch & dinner menu are the same. If you plan to do this, just be sure you have transportation back to your resort after AK closes.

That's good to know. I got 4 premium vouchers for 2 lunches was going to use 2 for Rain Forest Cafe for 5 pm when the Animal Kingdom closes. Trying the other two at Cinderella's Castle for Valentines day at lunch.
I learned about the vouchers here on the disboards. Any suggestions on what to order?

What vouchers are you talking about? This is exactly what I 'm looking for information on! I've not heard of vouchers. Is this parrt of an add on plan or something? Im not stupid just uninformed ... educate me!

at the top of the message board is a post all about the vouchers. I been bidding on mine from Ebay. But you can join places like hotwire or connections to get them a little bit cheaper. (they do have a 30 day trial period)
I would go to the top and read all about it then decide if its for you.

You can look at the menus on http://www.wdwig.com and see what you can order to get a good deal. Although, I have read (but not personally tried) that many people get the steak and lobster and RFC, but it is not on the menu.

WOW.........

I ordered the Meal vouchers from Hotwire on 12/18, and they arrived 12/23. I must say I am impressed.

Now off to figure out PS......
