DH wants to take it easy and relax on our trip next month so no 8 am breakfast ressies for us. We have CP, Boma and Cape May scheduled for 9:30. How is the crowd? Will it be nuts or manageable? How is the food, will it be hot and fresh and replenished?

Reason I ask is we usually do the very first seating and we did a 10:30 at 1900 Park Faire last Dec and it was terrible. The food was cold and dried out, they were not replenishing anything, the place was a chaotic nightmare and there was only one egg station open. I dont want to make that mistake again

I am not sure how to advise you as I have not done these in years, but I would say this if I paid for a character breakfast buffet and it was dried out and not replenished, I would be asking for my money back. I certainly would have followed up with a letter to Disney on how the restaurant handled my request and the condition of the food at the time of my reservation.

If they are going to charge decent prices and say they offer the breakfast between certain hours, then you should get the same quality at the start of the breakfast to the end.. I am sorry that happened to you, there is no excuse for poor quality..

i can only answer for cape may, since i was recently there, but we were seated at 10 or 10:30ish, and everything was plentiful and fresh. they seemed to use smaller serving dishes, and we constantly replacing them. everything was delicious and fresh!
