Need Advice on last ADR

I swear this board will be the death of me. I can't stay away and keep changing my mind on restaurants after reading things here. Ok, I made some changes to my ADR's and need advice on one last one.

First, is Chef's Mickey's really that bad? I made a ressie here first and then read over and over how much better Tusker House is. I was going to switch it, but Tusker House is now unavailable. :confused3 Should I keep checking back for Tusker House or just keep Chef Mickey's?

After moving somethings around I ended up canceling Whispering Canyon Cafe. I've read reviews from both side on this place and was really unsure about, but now I'm not sure I'm made the right decision and feel like we'll be missing out.

My question is would you switch out Teppan Edo or Les Chef de France to eat at WCC? Or am I better off with my choices?

I know I'm really over thinking this, but it's our first visit and for the money were spending I really want everything to be perfect.

Stick with what you have on this one. They are great choices! You will really enjoy the food and culture that you will get from them.

As for Chef Mickeys, if you have never experienced it, it is a must. You can just see the joy on everyone's faces, no matter what the age is. Their joy is from the abundance of characters roaming around and the magic spreading so early in the morning. It is a must do.

First I must say....go with your gut and eat where you want.

If you hang around the boards enough you will hear good and bad about every restaurant at WDW.
That said, we love Chef Mickey's. Haven't been for breakfast, we do dinner, which usually gets more of the bad rap. But we love it. Always have good food, good service. The buffet is always clean.
So I wouldn't worry.

Next WCC is one of our favorites. Not only for the good food, but DH loves the antics. He is a big kid and really rolls with them. ;)

Not a fan of Teppan Edo, so yes I would change.

But in the end it is your choice.....go where you feel the menu suits you. Don't worry about reviews, they are subject to people's opinions.

You can take my advice or anothers, but here is what I have found out....

If you choose a restaurant by another's view of it, you stand a 50/50 chance of hating it.
If you choose a restaurant by it's menu and what you like, 90% of the time you will love it.

So it is really up to you!

Have a great trip!!

We love Chef Mickey's it's always where we go the night we arrive! I hear a lot of people say the food it bad at many restaurants in WDW. I suppose it's not gourmet by any means, and I'm sure some are better than others, but I wouldn't classify any of the TS restaurants as bad food! Of course, I'm not a foodie, and we don't eat gourmet, Red Lobster is about as "nice" as our dining out gets, so that's possibly the difference in my opinion vs. others.

We also love WCC. That and Chef Mickey are the two we are repeating from our last trip. I've never eaten at Les Chefs or Teppan Edo but if I had to choose I'd probably switch it for Les Chefs but they both sound like wonderful restaurants. Teppan Edo was just edged out on our itinerary this time. It's on my list for future trips for sure.

I really do much prefer Tusker House...I personally have a deep dislike for Chef Mickey's - but there are people who like it...so you can judge for yourself!
BUT...if it were me....I'd keep the Chef Mickey for now and keep checking back for Tusker House...if it opens up, I'd grab it and then cancel Chef Mickeys.
Just as an FYI, I canceled a pre open Tusker House just yesterday for August 29th...table of 4. It turns out I need to take my friend to the airport that morning...I got lucky and was able to get a good slot on the 31st instead...

Thanks everyone! I think I'll keep them as is now. You're right, someone has something bad to say about everything and I really shouldn't let us guide my choices that much. Although, I did get rid of Coral Reef just because there were so many negative reviews. So far we love all of the menus with the exception of Akeurshus, but my girls are 4 & 5 and in love with princesses. Teppan Edo is the one that I think I'd like to get rid of, but it is the only one that my DH picked. So, I'll give it a shot!
