Need advice on best time to go w/ 2 & 7 yr. olds

Hi! My hubby & I are going this May by ourselves for our 10 yr. anniv. We want to go again before youngest DD turns 3 (which will be on 1/27/07). When would you suggest is the best time to take young children? This will be thier first time to WDW. My oldest will be in school and I wouldn't have a problem taking her out if we went during the school year.

We took out 7 year old and (then) 18 month old last October. It was about 85 degrees everyday and since it was so warm they got to swim. We took them to MNSSHP. The lines were short and the kids had a blast!

The main thing I under-estimated was how tired the 7 year old would get walking around the parks. I ended up renting a double stroller and it was so worth it. It helped ds not be so tired, he would still walk, but on occassion he wanted a ride and it helped dd stay put. If he was with her she'd sit all day otherwise it was a fight to get her to sit....so it served two purposes very well.

i also have a 7yo and 2yo and we are going apr 23-30. we have been in wdw in april twice before and the weather and crowds are great!! i agree with the double stroller advice--i usually just do it at ak and epcot where there is the most walking and it saves a lot of whining!! i think its great that you and your dh are going alone for your aniv. my dh and i went alone when my oldest was 18mo and it was awesome. i would love to do it again but i'm afraid i might feel too guilty going w/o dds. i wish 2 trips in a year was in my budget!!

First couple of weeks of December. No lines, weather is not too bad and all of the decorations are up. You are done with the parks early every day. I went with my nephews in June last year and it was way too hot and the lines were too long for them
