Ok so I know this is far away, but when I am finished with college and everything, me and my fiance are planning a Disney wedding for October of 2009. We just got an apartment together and are loving it.

Anyway, we want to go to Disney for our wedding, but it's only going to be the 2 of us. We just want a simple civil ceremony. Still kind of dressy, but not exactly black tie/formal. I still want a nice white dress and maybe like just nice pants and a nice shirt for Kent. But yea, we just want a quick ceremony, in a nice location, preferably in Disney. I saw a package that said it was $3,500 for a location in Disney plus a 4 night honeymoon. We will probably add a few more nights to the honeymood, we're just looking for something affordable and not ridiculously expensive.

We were also considering a non Disney location for the ceremony, there's a place called Paradise Cove that's really pretty at sunset and then just having the honeymoon at Disney.

Any ideas/suggestions?

You might check out Swan and Dolphin weddings - they are at Disney without being subject to Fairy Tale Wedding prices. Very pretty and right by EPCOT!

:welcome: to the DIS!

What you are describing for your Disney wedding is almost exactly what DH and I did for our Disney wedding.

At the time it was called the "Intimate" package. It's now called the "Escape".

It includes pretty much the basics...and can be a quick "civil" ceremony as casual or formal as you like. We went with casual and it was just my DH and me. I wore a simple white cotton gauze dress. DH wore navy dockers and a white linen shirt. You can see some of our pictures HERE

I spent about $7000 total for my wedding (that included everything: clothes, air fare, hotel, tickets, souvenirs, kennel costs, and more). I think you can stick pretty close to a budget of $5000-$7000 with Disney.

Disney does require that you book at least 4 nights in any Disney owned and operated hotel/resort in order to have a Disney wedding. You can use any discounts (AAA, etc.) you can find to book your accommodations and contact Disney Fairy Tale Weddings when you have the reservation number.

You can also check out weddings at the Swan and/or Dolphin. They are less costly than Disney, but still "on property". I'm not entirely sure what is included but you can find out more ON THIS THREAD (LINK)

You can google Orlando Weddings and I'm pretty sure there are literally thousands of options in the area that you might like. I have heard of a few brides who have gone to Leu Gardens for their ceremony.

There are literally hundreds of options. What do you REALLY want??;)

Congrats! Just out of curiosity, did the package say it included the cost of the four nights' honeymoon? That sounds like something new, since they stopped including accommodations a few years ago - it would be really neat if they'd started doing it again! :yay:

haha I know its all about what I want, and what we want. I was just looking for suggestions to see what peopel have done, if there was anything similar to what we're looking for, and the pricing of all that. So far, the suggestions have been veryy helpful. So thanks again! :)
