Need advice: Last weekend of Sept or Oct (weather)

We booked 2 reservations for an upcoming trip. We have the last weekend of September or the last Weekend of October. (Need to cancel 1 of them)

I heard so much about the weather in the Summer is extremely hot, lots of rain etc.. The cost difference between taking a trip the last week of Sept vs Last weekend in Oct is about $600 more for the October Trip. (Same hotel, room, etc).

Is the weather much different between the 2 months? I defentily don’t want to be in 90dgree weather, somewhere in low 80s is ideal for us. If weather is pretty much same between the 2 months, I might as well save the $600 and go in Sept.

Ditch the September trip. I'd rather spend the money and not deal with that humidity. October is still warm, but at the very end you should start seeing a cool down/less humidity.

Local here & agree with above post. Late October is MUCH nicer weather-wise. Humidity, storms & temps all drop significantly during the month. We went the last week of Oct last year & the weather was perfect!

Last year we were there the first two weeks of October and it started to cool down and rain less toward the end of the last week. We now have reservations for early November. We don't enjoy the 90 degree weather or the sudden downpours.

Agree with above, ditch September. It is unbelievably hot and humid. We went that week and it felt like July. Plus a lot of schools have “fall break” then. Last week of October would be much better.

I went the last week of Oct and the weather was great 2 yrs ago. Last year we went the first week of Nov and the weather was great too. We have gone early Oct and it was humid.

Agree with going in October. Much more rain, (tropical storms) and humidity in September.

Thanks for the input. Looks like we are going to go last weekend of Oct vs. last weekend of Sept.

Last year we went during Thanksgiving weekend and the 1st half of our trip was great. 2nd half the weather actually dropped into the 50s. We had to wear jackets (definitely no swimming). Hoping the extra $600 drop will pay off.
