Need Advice From VB Owners/Lovers

Just stayed at VB and fell in love with it. I would like to know if anyone has any suggestions on when is the best time of year for me to book.

We went mid may and the weather was not very good but the pool was not crowded & my daughter had the pirate ship all to herself most of the time.

Looking for good weather not too hot maybe mid 80's to low 90's in combo with times older kids are still in school. My girls are 3 and under.

Really liked mid may but is the weather then always so bad? Cloudy & rainy for all four days we were there.

Sorry you had poor weather. I've been to VB three times in May and once in late June. I love May. The weather is usually great - not to hot, but hot enough to enjoy the beach and pool. Late June was too hot. You can't beat the points during this time either.

Sorry for you're bad luck. Which I believe is what it was. We have gone from early April thru Late November. All the other months have average highs under 80.

So here is what I think by the months:

April - Avg high 80 - much less than avg rainfall. We found April to be a bit too cool for us and won't likely be going back. Spring break just over. Low crowds (except Easter).

May - Avg high 85 - less than avg rainfall. School in session. Perfect month.

June thru Sept. Avg high around 90 - well above average rainfall, hurricane season, schools are out of session.

October - Avg high 85 - slightly above above average rainfal, still hurricane season, schools back in session.

November - Avg high 80 - slightly below average rainfall, out of hurricane season.

I think May thru mid-June and mid-October thru November are the best times to go.

We tried August last year and it was just too hot for us. I think you picked the right time, but got very unlucky.

I have done August(6 times) or February(3 times). February the weather has been perfect mid to high 70's on average and August is in the high 80's low 90's and humid. I love it!!! Crowds are heavier in Feb than in August both with a mix of kids of all ages.

We usually go in early May and have been very fortunate to have good weather. Temps have ranged from mid to high 80's during the day -- sometimes higher. The wind is usually a factor and is sometimes very strong so it can seem cooler. We've had a few rainy days, but not many. The other reason we like early/mid May is that it is not crowded -- except for Mother's Day weekend -- it's always crowded.

You really just had a bit of misfortune. We own at Vero and usually go during the first two weeks of May. The weather has always been lovely with highs in the mid to upper 80's.

I was hoping it was just bad luck on our first trip. I plan to make it an annual trip mid-May for my oldest daughters birthday. She LOVES the beach and had a blast.

Hope to soon be a VB owner. I love the seclusion and the layout of the resort. I grew up visiting Gulf Coast beaches so I was a little worried about the beach (sand & etc.). After revisiting the Gulf Coast last summer I prefer VB.
