Planning a trip to WDW in October. We are a family of 5, so need more space than an average room. Interested in Art of Animation, but looks a bit over the top with decor. Any advice? Also, is it worth free dining over room discount? We have never stayed in the park before.....

I stayed in the LM section last Dec. It is very over the top with decor but I loved it. Thought it was great. I would assume the suites are just the same with over the top decor. I have always stayed at POP and will continue to go there just because it feels more at "home" for me.

Myself personally love FD and feel that for my family it is the best way to go. When doing the math last time we went we really didn't save much at all. I also like knowing that I don't need to look at prices. We upgrade to sit down meals and pay the difference ($18 extra a day per person). Again, with the prices of the food it's nice not to have to skimp.

I would suggest that you do the math and look at who is in your party and how they eat. If you light eaters and feel that you will not utilize the FD then it may be best for you to go with the RO discount.

Good luck with your planning. :thumbsup2
