Need advice from Cruise experts.....

My wife and I are planning our first ever cruise for Feb 2004, we don't know how it will be so we are starting with a 4 day cruise.My question is should we book an inside stateroom(cat-11)
or go with a cat-9 for our first trip. We are not sure how we wil react to the sea . This is why we are starting with a 4 day cruise instead of 7 day. Any help would be appreciated.
I booked reservations with both today and there is only a $200 difference btween the cat 11($1550) and the cat 9($1750). The cost is not a big factor.Just wondering if having a window will help us or might make us a little seasick?

My recommendation is to go for the Cat 9 over the Cat 11. Being able to wake up in the morning and looking out the window to "sea" what the weather is like is better than turning on the weather channel in the cabin.
Just don't go up to a Cat 6 with a verandah because you will never be able to go back to just a window.

Definitely take the window (or the verandah-Hans Solo is right though). You can always pull the shade on the window if it does present a problem for you. We did a 4-day in June and had the same fear you did. We had a verandah and never had a problem thanks to Bonine (over the counter med). If you are not planning on being in your cabin very much, the inside stateroom would save you some money (you'll need some shopping money after all). I would definitely go for the Cat 9, especially if the difference is only $200.

Don't forget the shoe organizer for the bathroom door!

If the cat. 9 is on the first floor, you will have two small portholes rather than one large one. Try to get a room on the second floor instead.
