My parents (66) will be joining us for our Florida trip. My sons are 10 and 12. Can you give me some tips on how to see as much as possible allowing the boys to ride what they'd like, yet keeping the pace slow enough for my dad who sometimes has hip/leg problems (yet doesn't like to make an issue of it) and my mom who has motion sickness/inner ear issues? I guess keeping everyone happy and healthy is my main goal.

Any suggestions appreciated.

We are doing a similar trip this fall. I would love to hear some suggestions as well!

Read up on the rides on here or in a good guide book and accept that there will be times when your party will have to split up-don't try to keep everyone happy all the time.

Being willing to plit up is probably key. But not for an entire day. For instance. Kids want to ride Buzz and SM. Grandparents could probably do Buzz with you and then head for fantasyland at a slow pace while the kids do SM. You could meet up and ride Pooh or Peter Pan together and see Philharmagic. They could then see hall of presidents while the kids hit BTM and Splash. But you could do POC and JC together. Etc.

Have cells with you to catch up with each other and with the kids father pace and their slower one you'll probably be together most of the trip with them going along at a slow pace and the one with the kids hurrying a bit to catch up with them after hitting rides.

1. Rent an ecv from offsite. Despite their protests they will enjoy their day much more and you will enjoy it more if they are not tired looking or cranky. )I never knew how much my being tired and achy hindred the enjoyment of my family)

2. Make them the designated spot holders for parades and shows (not for all of you and the rest of the group has to return in a reasonable amount of time).

3. Mix it up with rides and shows.

4. Plan sit down table service meals. Nice rest for everyone in AC.

5. Read the posts about nice out of the way quiet spots in each park.

6. Stay onsite so transporation is available to them should they want to leave and return later.

I would say that splitting up would help.

Also, rent and electric scooter, this will help a lot. I did that when my Grandparents went with us, it worked out great.

Making sure that you set aside time for sit down meals where everyone can relax.
