Need Advice for Cozumel Dune Buggy and Beach Snorkel Combo

Hey There. We are looking at the Dune Buggy and Beach Snorkel Combo. Driving around the whole island sounds great, as does the 2 beach stops. Has anyone done this one yet? I can't seem to find reviews for anything other than the off-road dune buggies.

We did this in March of this year, and we enjoyed it. According to my family, snorkeling was eh. (I didn't snorkel). Snorkeling beach was not beautiful. Lunch was at a beach restaurant. Fajitas were out of this world, and beach was gorgeous. Shopping stop was at a little hole in the wall place. The drive around the world was breathtaking, with the exception of the end of the drive through the city. City was depressing, made me feel guilty that I was enjoying a cruise and excursion while people were living like that. The safety of the vehicles was questionable, no working speedometer, most vehicles were standard but our friends were able to get an automatic the automatic vehicle was shaded, whereas ours was completely open, so bring extra towels for sitting on, seats get hot and are not padded.

For our cruise in August we were going to do the Dune Buggies but changed to Off Road Adventure To Jade Caverns because it got better reviews.

Thanks so much!!! It sounds like a lot of fun but we were having such a hard time finding reviews. Found a few on other sites but reviewers are reviewing wrong excursion. (crocodiles and light house). So you found the food safe and tasty? That's always a concern from so many...

Thanks for the heads up. We thought about that one too but read the vehicles broke down a lot. May have to look into this further.

We did this just a few months ago. We were very disappointed I even called guest services when we got back. The snorkeling was ok our guide was very nice we just didnt see anything just a few fish. I understand no one can control the fish. The dune buggy ride was fun but lunch had been described as a buffet we only got a chicken fajita and a coke. People came to the table selling stuff. Then we went to their own mayan village where yet again they hawked stuff and wanted tips. This would not have been horrible if I knew that is what I signed up for. When we came back to the ship I reread the description it said nothing about the stop at this place. I would not do this ever again. We did do the little speed boat ride and snorkel at another port and loved that !! The boats were fun and the snorkeling was great. Cant remember which port it was now.

The ship's buggy excursion only goes down to Punta Sur and back. We took the Buggies, Mayans & Beach Snorkel and this one goes all around the island plus you get a short visit to Cozumel's Mayan Ruins. I think the value was much better than the ship's excursion...
