Need Advice: Dolphin Lake View Upgrade To Club Level With SPG Points

Hi Gang

We are currently booked at the Dolphin in a lake view room for $169 from May 29th to June 9th (total of 11 nights). I'm also an SPG Gold member. When we travel we'll have 12,000+ spg points. From what I understand, I can upgrade from a standard room to a club level room for 1000 points per night.

Can anyone offer some advice as to if and how I get upgraded to the club level? Also is there any chance I can squeeze an Epcot resort room view?

the exact thing a year ago. You need to call the Dolphin and let them know that you want to use your points for CL and request an Epcot view with balcony (doesn't hurt to ask nicely!). We were lucky to get CL during our stay as there was a soft ware convention at the time and they were sold out. We asked for CL but wanted a room closer to Epcot and with a balcony. Yes, we did have to walk to the CL every day but it was worth it.

Have a great time. The Dolphin is FANTASTIC!!!!

Thanks for the info. So when and who do I call? I've heard that to make special requests you need to call 5 days before you arrive. Would I call the reservations at the Dolphin?

they will probably tell you to call 5 days prior. Do this but also add this to the "comment" section to your reservations on the SPG website.
