Hi all..... My family and I are going to WDW in March.... My daughter (9) gets seasick and car sick with any ride over an hour...... she ends up throwing up all the time... one hour is her limit for car rides and she has never flown.... Got any advice on what I can give her before the plane ride? Or should i chance it and not give her nothing? I dont want to give her anything strong because i dont want her sleepy when we get there ....we should land at about 11:30 am. in florida..... Thank you vicki

If all goes well and you have a smooth flight I would think other than take off and landing she should be fine. Having said that I would check with her doctor and see what they recomend.

There are a number of sea-sickness type medications out there. Dramimine is the one we all recognise by name. The key is to take them before you begin to feel queezy! They take a good hour to get into your system, so you need to plan in advance.

One additional thought -- if you know someone is prone to sea-sickness, then obviously avoid greasy foods before flying as well as acidic foods. If you can, book your seats so you're sitting over the wing, and place the person who gets sick in the aisle seat. This way they are at the "center" of the "gimble" and it feels as if the rest of the plane is revolving around them.
