Need advice! 3 days, No midday break, in July...

Arrive Early (30-45min) each day.

Run hard until Lunch on the big rides.

At DLR eat lunch at Pizza Port
At DCA eat at Smokejumpers Grill

Have a nice long lunch inside.

Both are CS and have air conditioning and a place to sit.

Have an idea for for rides and shows after lunch.

I forgot to add. Have someone run FP before lunch. The basic idea is that once everyone has entered at least one of the the parks on a given day. Everyone can give their FP to a FP runner to get a FP. In this case for after lunch.

You're probably right, the nap idea was probably mostly for me! haha, and I KNOW the heat will be my biggest challenge. I'm a pale red-headed Oregonian!

Pale Canadian here too! 85 F is too hot for me. Low-to-mid 70s is my most comfortable zone for outdoor activities. I get heat sickness very easily.

Have you heard of Frogg Toggs? They have "Chilly" products like neck wraps, towels, banadanas, headbands etc. that you just soak in water and they'll keep you cool. It has the same effect as putting an icy water bottle on your neck, chest or wrists to help keep your core temperature cool.

We took our 8 year old and went hard open to close 5 days straight. It was exhausting, but here are a few things I found helped. 1. Uva bar in DTD serves great root beer floats. We would go mid day to DTD and chill out there a little. 2. Earl of sandwich is great and inexpensive for lunch. We would grab sandwiches there and go sit on grass or over on disneyland hotel grounds to give our feet a break. 3. Mickey and the magical map. This show is a great break from the sun and the standing. 4. Plan for a meal where you sit. We did the plaza inn for dinner and sitting and regrouping was a huge help.

Those feet are gonna be tired. Get some decent shoes. I got all of us sketchers with memory foam in them to help.

Lastly, listen to the fam. Remember for every step you are taking, kids are taking 2. When they need a break listen.

You have received lots of great advice. I would like to add in the morning when you are in DCA, check out the board in front of the Animation building to see characters and times. Make note of which ones you would like to do during the hot part of the day and then switch between drawing and seeing Turtle Talk etc while in the cool building. In the GCH, there is Whitewater Snacks to get something to eat and a place to relax in the cool air conditioning. The lobby area of the GCH have really comfy chairs too, as well as spots to charge up your phone (if you have your charger). Fiddler Fifel and Practical has a lot of booths and a lot more than just Starbucks coffee, so grab a snack and people watch in the air conditioning. next door is Claribelles Ice Cream, so if some want ice cream and others want a cake pop, you can grab a window seat and enjoy the view. You can grab a matinee movie , then a late lunch or early dinner at one of the places in DTD. We have done that a few times last year. Very relaxing and nice to not be in the heat with the crowds.

I'd also recommend a midday break in the lobby of the Grand Californian on one of your days. It's cool, quiet, and relaxing. The piano music is great, and there's food places in the GC that you could visit if you desire/budget allows.
