Need Add on Help

We just became DVC members in Sept at Hilton Head and bought an add on at Key West just prior to the first closing. We are ready to add on again.

Does anyone know if we buy at Saratoga Springs what year the points will be for 2003 or 2004 or both?

I really want BCV or BWV but our use years are June and April what would be our chances of getting them before that date if purchasing through Disney?

Thanks to anyone who can help. I am expecting a call from our guide today.

If your UY is Sept then you will get 2003 points with your add-on until August 31, 2004. Now that we are in the new calendar year, you will not be charged dues on the 2003 points (pro-rated on a calendar basis). Keep in mind however, that you will still be subject to banking rules on the 2003 points so the value of the 2003 points diminishes if your add-on comes through late in 2004.

I would think BWV are still a possibility. As of a few weeks ago, they still had some plus all the contracts on the "new points" had not been returned (possibility for change of mind and more inventory). I would put yourself on the waitlist for BWV if that is what you prefer and give yourself cut off date (ie April 1) to get SSR if BWV isn't avail. but I would think the likelyhood is high of getting it. I also understand that they look at waitlist when considering ROFR.

The only SSR Use Year with 2003 points is December. If your current Use Year is December, you can probably get current points with an add-on.

All other SSR contracts won't get any points until the Use Year anniversary date in 2004. DVC will usually only allow an add-on in the same Use Year as the master contract- unless it's a new contract for 150 or more points.

My guide was out again today but they found a person to check on BCV and BWV . She found a possible 44 points for BCV in June but won't know positively until tomorrow.

I was hoping for a hundred but I will keep trying.

Keep looking for resales - we just received notice today that our purchase of 100 BCV points passed Disney's ROFR with a UY of April. This is our second hundred points purchased this way, our first UY is September, we passed ROFR for that deal just before Christmas (also BCV). We went through:
