My son will be turning 13 on our trip to WDW in Oct. I left him pick a park he said MK. Because of the Mountains and Buzz but namely because of more rides. So I wanted to embarass him and kinda of give him a last boyish yet teenish type day. So doing EMH in the morning doing Cinderellas Royal table for breakfast( embarrass him) Doing Liberty Tavern ( Dinner likes Goofy)and doing MNSSHP in the evening plus making him wear a Birthday button.

Do you think a 12 year old turning 13 would like this and is there something else we should or shouldnt do. I want him to really hate me sorta speak. I dont ever want him to forget this vacation.

That's mean! I am personally very "independant" and I would honestly run away! I'm weird like that..

What part of it is mean the whole thing or just certain aspects?

To tell you the truth, for the past few years, I have absolutely refused to go to the Cinderella dinner. Maybe your son is different. The only reason I did go is for my sister.

i would love to wear the birthday button but doesn't he get something special? I once heard that if a cast member sees this you could cut the line.. i dunno if it is true tho,

cinderella's castle would prolly embarass him with the princess' greeting him and prolly kissing his cheek when they leave.
MNSSHP sounds like fun to me =0)

They are not supposed to, but they did do it ONCE on Mission Space. WE tried on other rides and they just looked at us funny. WE just had a nice cast member. But hey you may get a nice one. You feel lucky. . . punk. lol

Well I think he should have a fun time at Disney! Not a dreadful one. If he can take jokes absolutly EXTREEMELY well, than I guess you could do that. :confused3

I don't think it's mean! But make sure he knows that you're only just joking with him though. I think it would be pretty funny!

I woul;d never do that to my cjild, ok so, well maybe.. ;) I say go ahead and do it, ubt like Bandgeek911 make sure he knows you are joking! :thumbsup2

Okay, I would say don't do Cinderellas Royal table because he might be grumpy the whole day after that. :goodvibes

That was my point Emma! :goodvibes, he will be all mad and upset!

I think you should also do 1900 park fare. They have like a princess breakfast there and its pretty fun. I think it would be funny for a guy to have that as a surprise...just an idea coming from a 12 year old girl :goodvibes

I guess it depends on if he can take a joke.. I dunno I love Cinderellas Royal Table and so does my 10 YR old brother lol..As far as the BDAY button I dont know if I would wear it or not and the MNSSHP I would totally do..But let him decide what he wants to wear

if you want to make the day super special, I've heard the people over at giftsofalifetime.com do a really great job :thumbsup2 .

PS.I don't think Cinderella's table is mean at all! I love it there! Of course, I may be way off base because I'm a 16 year old girl, not a 12 y/o boy :p

lol well now i feel like a dork because i have done all of this at one point!

lOl for like 3 yrs every bday was at disny and i wore the button. . animal kingdom and epcot have different buttons than mgm and magic kingdom!!

Cinderella's royal table i luved it and so did my little sisters. . the food wasnt the best in the world but i luv the princesses!

MNSSHP was sooo much fun! I did this on the last trip in OCT. they decorated the park sooo much and it looked cool. The best part was the candy!! Oh yeah and that some of the cast members dress up well put on make up to make them look like they are dead kinda like the haunted mansion!

I say you should do it just as you have it i mean if my mom did it i might of been a little embarrassed but when the day was over i would have loved it! The cast members do say like happy birthday and stuff but not really anything big if ur lucky and there arent many people in the line that is when they will let you go and cut in line or at least that is what they did for us and it didnt really help very much because everyone got on the ride!

D O N T tell him though let it be a big suprise! OHHHH yeah go to Chef Mickeys that night because they through you a party. . well they play birthday music and all the characters come in and sing you a song and everyone twirls their napkins in the air and then when they finish singing you get a mickey mouse shaped cupcake!

DO IT!! HE WOULD LOVE IT!!!!

Personally, I will do anything, as long as it has nothing to do with hurting someone (or heights.) I would wear the bday button even if it wasn't my birthday, just to get responces. I am not really a "princess person", and don't like pink or princesses or anything like that, but I would take it becuse it had good food, and would take it as a joke.

I think that CRT is a little iffy (spelling?) but deffinetly get him a button. I celebrated my 13th and 14th birthday in WDW and the buttons deffinietly give you a lot of extra attention! Also you should try to head over to the Boardwalk. There is a place there ( I forget what it is called but its near Spoodles) and they give you a free sundae on your birthday! Its huge! :thumbsup2
