I need a suggestion for a Disney restaurant outside of the parks for dinner/supper.

We are me, DW, DD(18), DSs(11,10,9).
The 9 and 10 y/o are fussy eaters and will only eat comfort foods.

We've done HoopDeDoo (loved it) and Chef Mickey (bad experience).

My criteria:
1. Must be reasonably priced ($20-$35 adult entrees)
2. Can be DTD, Boardwalk, Resort restaurant (or even a fun offsite restaurant, if close to WDW)
3. Must have good comfort food selections (children's menu or otherwise)

I would suggest Sanaa at Kidani Village for fun ambiance, seeing as how you can view animals wandering around on the savannah from your table, so long as there's still sunlight. I'm sure that they have comfort food type items on their kids menu, and the rest of the menu is fun and full of tasty options for the not-so-fussy eaters.

For more standard fare, with a tradeoff in atmosphere, I'd recommend Grand Floridian Cafe. They have very good food at reasonable prices, but the only view you have from their windows is of the GF courtyard. That being said, if you time it right, you could always walk to a spot with a good view for the evening fireworks show at the Magic Kingdom. Kona would also be a good option for this, but maybe slightly less friendly to the picky eaters.

I recommend that you check out their current menus on Disney's website just to make sure that you like them before considering any of these, though.

I love Sanaa. But they don't have fried chicken nuggets/strips or mac & cheese. They do have cheese pizza and a cheeseburger on the kids menu. Both are served with vegetables - the cheeseburger with roasted potatoes (not french fries). I don't know if you can request fries. In most places you can.

Both Rainforest Cafe and T Rex at DD are fun and the food is very good at T Rex. It is loud at both places though, but the dinosaur theme at T Rex is well done and kids of all ages will enjoy it.

Try Olive Garden it's on International Drive. It's probably only 5-10 from downtown Disney depending on traffic.

offsite Bahama Breeze

-Resorts
- Cape May Clambake
- Olivia's
- Whispering canyon ( fun antics and good food)

- DTD- Trex
love Wolfgang Puck Express
