Or you could do what I did: sent my hubby an e-mail at work saying I bought a plane ticket to Orlando for December, booked a Disney cruise with a friend, and will be at WDW before and after! He never commented on the e-mail, so I'm not sure if he realizes I'll be out of town for 13 days!

I finally did convince DH to "let" me come. Actually, he was willing to let me do it from the beginning, he just wanted to see how much grief about it I could take After my AP rate for my room, and $50 in AirTran certificates, he couldn't give me a justifiable reason not to go.

Still debating on a roomie, though. Like someone else said, I love people, but I also like my privacy. Haven't ruled out the possibility, though.

I could check the avilablity of a 1 or 2 br on property and we could all split it for the weekend. This would definitely help me convince hubby to let me take the journey and if we get AP's on our trip next month, he really won't be able to say no LOL

I wish I could help you, Terrie. I usually go to WDW solo, unless I can bribe one of my kids to go with me! This December will be the first time I am going to WDW with a friend who will split the cost.

Good news... I called and checked on avilability of a 1 and 2 br.. OKW has both open.. I didn't check any other resorts since OKW has the biggest on property. I believe it would be about 100 points (i had it all written down yesterday, but can't find that paper now ) for the 2 nights (fri and Sat) for a 2 br and about 80 points for both nights for a 1 br. For some reason I was thinking a 1 br could sleep 6, but both a 1 br and a studio only sleep 4 (only has 2 beds-1 king and 1 pull out couch) while a 2 br has 1Queen, 1 King and 2 pull out sofabeds--sleeps 8) So it depends on how many people want to go in together (and me finalizing this trip with the hubby LOL) we could figure out some way to split it all up evenly between everyone... so then we'll have more space to spread out

Just wanted to update and say that I will not be needing a roomie now. Good luck to those all still in the hunt for one. A very wonderful friend is staying DVC and invited me to join her.

Completely bummed but I can't go... I will have an exam either that weekend or the next one that will be for my last course for a professional designation. So, it would be irresponsible of me to go...I will have to wait for another opportunity. Maybe it will be next year to celebrate the achievement...trying to look on the bright side...hurts a little, though .
