As I continue to wait for codes (late October), I am trying to narrow down my options. Which moderates can accomodate 5? What about deluxes? We stayed at YC a few years ago in a standard room that had a daybed. Is this also true at other resorts in this catagory?

I understand one of the PO resorts offers a trundle bed, correct? If so, which areas? Also, bunk beds at AKL or WL... are these available with 2 queens additionally?

My first choice for this trip would be Poly, although it doesn't seem to be the best choice for getting a deal lately. I keep hearing about great rates at AKL and WL mostly, so I guess where we end up will just depend on the new discounts I'm so anxious to hear about!!

hi: most of the deluxes will sleep 5. you'd need a junior suite at the wl; the regular rooms will only hold 4. people have had a bit more luck getting good rates on the garden wings at the contemporary.

The only moderate, I believe, that will sleep 5 is the PORiverside. In the Alligator Bayou section they have rooms with two double beds and a trundle bed. The trundle isn't huge but is big enough for a child -- not a teenager, though.

All the deluxes have options for sleeping five. I believe, most offer the daybeds and all have queen beds instead of double beds. I have read about the bunkbeds at AKL - not sure about WL. You might want to do a search. That could give you some info there.

If cost is in your equation than the most economical way to go would be to the moderate - PORiverside. At times you can get them for $84-89 per night, if there are any codes. If cost is slightly a factor and you want a deluxe, they have been running some nice specials on the WL but I'm not positive if they will sleep 5. The contemporary might be harder to find a good rate at since Shades of Green has taken over one of the garden wings.

Some have also suggested that you can get two rooms at the All Stars ($49-54 per night) for not much more than the PORiverside. I think part of it depends on what you are looking for in regards to lodging. Good luck. We are waiting for Nov/Dec codes.

BC/YC have 2 queens and a daybed, and AKL has queen/bunks/day bed if you book a Deluxe room. We have stayed at all 3 of these resorts with 3 adults and 2 teenagers comfortably. FYI - BC/YC have deluxe rooms which also have an additional sitting area and are about 200 square ft bigger than their regular rooms if you are lucky enough to get an upgrade or discount.

Poly has daybeds and there rooms are very spacious. I would keep watching for a discount for the Poly.
AKL and WL have deluxe rooms that sleep 5 but their standard rooms don't. The bunkbed rooms only have 1 queen and the bunkbeds. YC/BC have daybeds but make sure you confirm that you have one. We had 2 rooms booked last year for parties of 5 and did not get rooms with daybeds in them. They offered to change our room the next day so we switched to the Poly.
PoR trundle beds are for kids under 5ft tall.

I would ask if you can have 5 in a room at the CBR. They told me we could get a fold up bed/cot for $15.00 per night additional. We are a family of 4 but children don't like to sleep together.
The deluxe hotels like the Cont. or the Poly have large rooms and will accomodate 5. The day bed is the size of a twin bed. I have slept on it and it was comfortable for and adult.

Please keep in mind that there is a $15 charge daily for the trundle beds at POR.

We had a trundle bed at PO-R in both Alligator Bayou and Magnolia Bend. We weren't charged extra.

I believe the extra charges have to do with more than 2 guests over the age of 18.

I think, but may be mistaken, that all AB rooms have trundles in them. Both our rooms had trundles but since there were only 2 adults in each room we weren't charged for the trundle. We didn't use it either...so I'm not sure how that works.
